The speechless heartbroken Bengali romantic novel Kapalkundala written by the famous Bengali poet Bankim Chandra Chattopadhyay. It was published in 1869. Kapalkundla is a young novelist, the protagonist of a romantic novel. He went on a boat trip with some of his acquaintances and villagers. Incidentally, the boatmen lost their way on the way. At night the sailors lost their way in the middle. Finally, after spending the night, they returned to shore in the morning. Everyone got off the boat and called out their daily nature and bathed in the river. But the lack of fuel in their boats disrupted cooking and everyone was hungry. But no one agreed to win the search for fuel in this unfamiliar dark forest, finally Nabakumar, a young man from Saptagram, agreed to satisfy everyone’s hunger and went out alone in search of fuel in the forest with ax in hand. He went away and collected firewood. But the firewood was so heavy that it was too late for him to return.

Meanwhile, due to non-return of Nabakumar, many fear that he may have been eaten by a tiger or a fox. Meanwhile, it was not possible to keep their boats tied due to high tide in the river. They left him. When Nabakumar came back, he saw that there was no one else. Terrible situations arise, terrified and it becomes evening. In this condition, he has to walk through the sand dunes without any direction. If you see them in this hope, but have not met with them.

Then on the way Nabakumar met a Tantric saint. The Tantric saint takes him to his hut and quenches his hunger by giving some fruits to the hungry newcomer. The next day, that Tantric saint tied his hands and took him through the dense forest for the purpose of sacrifice. At that time, Kapalkundala, a 16-year-old girl, freed him and told him to flee. Then various events take place which the readers can understand by reading the book. She got married to Kapalkundala and returned to her hometown Saptagram with the help of Kapalkundala. This dumb-hearted romantic novel spreads immensely among the people of Bengal and everyone is eager to read the book.

Bankim Chandra Chattopadhyay was an outstanding talent from his childhood and his father Yadav Chandra Chattopadhyay enrolled him in Medinipur English School. He admitted to Hooghly College in 1849 when he was 11 years old. He studied at Hooghly College for a total of seven years till 1856. During this time he read additional textbooks and acquired a lot of knowledge. He was able to show his talent in a short time.

In 1856 he left Hooghly College to study law and was admitted to Presidency College in Calcutta. And that same year he took the exam from the law and passed in first division. The University of Calcutta was established in the same year and the university arranged for the taking of the BA examination the following year. Bankim Chandra Chattopadhyay sat for the B.A. examination with only 13 students appearing for the exam that year and only two passed the second division. No one could pass the exam at first as it was very difficult. He passed the first B.A. examination of Calcutta University and his name spread around. On 6 August 1858, he was appointed as a Deputy Magistrate and after joined as a Deputy Collector.

Author Bankim Chandra Chattopadhyay has beautifully shed light on the consequences of various steps in human life and the manifest form of real thinking in this novel. The characters in the Bishbriksha novel control all the events. The protagonist in the tragedy is unlucky. The story of this fall is revealed through the events of the Bishbriksha.
