keshab Chandra Nag (K.C. Nag) was born 10 July 1893 Hooghly in West Bengal. He was a Bengali mathematics test book author. Keshab Chandra nag has started his education in his village at Gurap. Then he admitted to Kishanganj High school in 1912 and past the entrance examination with first class. After that hi he admitted to report college in science for higher studies. But sorry to say, his education discontinue, due to lack of money, he was not able to study and was forced to take up a teaching job in a high school. After working for a while, he retired from teaching at a northern school for higher education, although his family was dependent on him. In 1917 he passed BA in Mathematics and Sanskrit with honors. He was then appointed as a math teacher in Kishanganj High School.
In 1905, Ashutosh Mukherjee opened a school called Mitra Institution (Branch) at Bhabanipur. In 1906, Ashutosh Mukherjee was appointed Vice Chancellor of Calcutta University. At that time Keshab Chandra Sen was able to come close to Ashutosh Mukherjee Sen due to his stay in Calcutta and teaching mathematics. He knew Keshab Chandra well and they were both good friends. He spoke of joining politics but Keshab Chandra Nag refused to do so.
Keshab Chandra Nag published mathematics books in Bengali at that time. And his book on this issue caused a stir. One day Sarat Chandra Chattopadhyay requested him to publish a math book. His first book, New Arithmetic, was published and became very popular with fifth and sixth grade students. He then published math books for students from class four to class twelve. That book, however, was compiled in other languages.
He was died on 6th February 1987 Kolkata in West Bengal.
